Event Recap | Infinity Fit Club, Sheffield
2026 started with a statement. Not a product drop, not an ad campaign... a Saturday morning in Sheffield with a community that loves the sport as much as we do.
The VOLT x Infinity Fit Club session was the first event of the year, and it set the tone for exactly where train.VOLT is heading in 2026.
What went down:
- Integrated VOLT athletes, George (Founder), Rebecca (Affiliates Manager), and Phoebe (Community Manager) into Infinity Fit Club's Saturday send
- Educational gymnastics session coached by VOLT coach Kyle McDonald... real value, real takeaways
- Finished with the SURGE workout... a VOLT original that's now set to tour the UK and reach into the US
What is the SURGE workout?
SURGE is a team workout built by train.VOLT. Here's how it works:
- Teams of 4, one athlete working at a time... tag in, tag out
- Each athlete completes 12/9 calories (row preferred), 12 box jump overs, and 12 gymnastics reps
- Gymnastics is pre-assigned: Pull-Ups, Toes-to-Bar, Chest-to-Bar, Muscle-Ups (all scalable)
- 2 rounds for time, 14 minute cap
Simple format, high energy, every athlete contributing. That's the point.
Why it mattered:
This year is about going deeper into true UK CrossFit communities. Not just showing up... actually becoming part of the fabric. Sheffield was the first proof of that. We weren't guests, we were part of their Saturday.
The bigger picture:
SURGE is bigger than one session. It's a workout built to travel... UK-wide and beyond into the US as the brand grows. Sheffield was the launch pad.
This was also the moment the VOLT Family became real in a physical sense. Relationships built, content captured, community first from the very first event of the year.
